NFL Network’s Albert Breer reported that the Seattle Seahawks will host the Atlanta Falcons in Week 16 of the 2018 NFL season, which is also the beginning of the 2019 NFL season.
That would be the first time the Seahawks will visit Atlanta since 2015, when the team played the Atlanta Braves.
The Seahawks will also be playing the Miami Dolphins in Week 17.
The Seahawks will be without top cornerback Richard Sherman, who is currently dealing with a shoulder injury.
The team announced in March that Sherman would miss at least the first two weeks of the season.
The loss of Sherman would mean that the Seahawks would miss their third straight Super Bowl appearance.
Sherman has been one of the team’s best cornerbacks for the past three seasons, and he’s missed only two games in the past four seasons.
